I know some of this info is on the other sites but I figured I'd post here!

The skinny? I found a great deal and couldn't pass it up. $160 shipped to my door for the Air Lift RideControl kit 59562! (after I do the $50 rebate).

I ordered from sdtrucksprings.com who had a really good price on them already but they will price match. I talked to customer service who agreed to match (plus a little extra) the price from nutrend.com (site seemed a little shady / new and I strangely found them because newegg.com had the kit listed for sale via nutrend but visiting nutrend.com directly showed an even lower price than newegg). That brought them down to $210. sdtrucksprings also linked to a $50 manufacturer rebate that has to be filled out by end of next month (10/2015). Totaling me out at $160 to my door.

This was honestly the only reason I went with the Air Lift kit over the Firestone Sport-Rite / SportRite kit. Why? What I found was that the Firestone kit handles more weight 3,000lbs (Air Lift 2,000lbs), is truly a no drill application (the air lift system has you drilling into the frame rails), and arguably Firestone is a better name and better built. The pluses for Air Lift? In my case the cost and from what I've seen on the interweb customer service may be better and the warranty is better. The cheapest I was seeing for the Firestone kit was around $275.

Why am I going with an air bag helper system? I'm about to put spacers on the front which is not going to give me that much of a negative rake. I don't even think an inch. So I wanted a way to level the truck out without spending a lot of money AND gain some stiffness. I could have done an adjustable shackle (no stiffness though) or perhaps an AAL but the air bag idea has been in my head for awhile. A guy on another forum 'oldarmy' posted a lot of information about his firestone set up on a stock xterra. Unloaded he said running 15 psi (10 is the minimum you're suppose to run) gave him 3/4" and great ride quality. Of course my truck suffers from the saggy ass syndrome if I put a loaded cooler in the back. When I go camping or tailgating my truck sags so terribly bad it's embarrassing. Soon I'll be able to add a little air and be riding nice.

so I'm pretty excited! and obviously long winded.

If anyone has been thinking about a similar set up NOW is the time at that price!!!
