I've been noticing that most of us in an X are sci-fi geeks. Even locals with their pov who don't wheel, trail run, or otherwise off-road often seem to have something geekish. Yesterday, i saw a Gen 2 on post with the Battlestar Galactica crest on the rear window. And, it turned out to be a full bird who laughed and said, conspiratorially, "I Love the Edward James Olmos Adama!"... So i got to thinking....
I'm a concrete geek and love most all things geek. Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar, Bab 5, Firefly/Serenity, and many others as well as what I read. It influenced my areas of academic and fun interest, although not my choice of profession as such, hobbies (astronomy, amateur radio, cb, computer geeking), and even clothing. I own and wear the old brown Battlestar Galactica jacket when it gets chilly in the Fall and early Spring. I've named most of my vehicles either directly after something in the genre or close. My old Saab 9000 Turbo was Red 5. My X is the xTARDIS, even the official license plate!
So, let your geek flag fly with pride and speak out! Who else is an open geek and how does it affect your X?
