We were originally going to go with a soft shell (OVS Nomadic), but the more I thought about it, I realized the biggest point of the RTT for us is speed. We wouldn't be saving a ton of time with that design over our ground tent. And it was still about 1700 bucks. For a couple hundred more, we scored this one, which should be WAY faster to setup and teardown. Granted, it's a little smaller, but it'll only be cramped until we kick the kiddo out, and make her sleep in her own tent.Sweet. I wish mine was a hard top.
I think if you need to have one, it should be a hard top. That'd be the only thing I'd consider buying.Sweet. I wish mine was a hard top.
That's the idea. It also has all of our stuff in it, all the time.I still think a trailer is the way. Even with a RTT. Mount the tent to the trailer. All your camping gear is in the trailer. Take either truck. Don't have to break everything down to move.
I'm gonna say it. Best MCU TV series yet. Oscar Isaac needs some kind of recognition for it.Gonna marathon Moon Knight tonight. Really enjoying that series.
Because of my size, the only hard top that would work for me is over $4k and my current tent was just under $1500. That was my main reason for getting the one I did. Especially at the time I bought it because the wife had just been furloughed due to Covid. But other than the size when closed I love my tent.I think if you need to have one, it should be a hard top. Stop that.I feel like hell
I'm trying. Beer is helping. Almost sleep time.Stop that.
Ya know, I tried looking for broken quads around here. Holy shiat. Cheapest thing was still $3k that didn't run.I'm trying. Beer is helping. Almost sleep time.
Tomorrow I have to deal with some stuff around here.
Saturday I need to get brakes on the Kawasaki and the gas tank skid back on the Xterra.
Jeeze!Ya know, I tried looking for broken quads around here. Holy shiat. Cheapest thing was still $3k that didn't run.
I totally get it. My original plan was to go soft shell, due to the size you can get. The OVS Nomadic 4 is HUGE, and would fit 4 people with room to spare. But the more we thought about it, the more we figured something speedy to setup and take down made more sense. We're planning on doing a trip along the entire west coast probably next year, which will involve moving everyday, and dispersed camping as much as humanly possible.Because of my size, the only hard top that would work for me is over $4k and my current tent was just under $1500. That was my main reason for getting the one I did. Especially at the time I bought it because the wife had just been furloughed due to Covid. But other than the size when closed I love my tent.
I would like a trailer ultimately, especially if it could do kayaks and the tent. On a trailer though I’d no longer care about soft top vs hard top.

Rear is easy button. Front is hard button.Going back and forth on locking the front, or the rear

rear breaks less parts. front is more effectiveRear is easy button. Front is hard button.
We didn't need an entire season of backstory on Frank Castle. It was a waste of television.
I'll venture to say that the rear is more useful.rear breaks less parts. front is more effective
