I open up two tabs on my browser. One with the post editor, and one with Imgur.
When you hit edit post, and scroll down to a borked image, click on it and it'll open a pop-up that has the photobucket url in it. Copy that, paste it into a 3rd tab. Save the picture locally to your computer, then upload to Imgur. Once that's done, mouse over the upper right corner and you'll see a drop down appear. One of the options is "get share links" grab the forum link one.
Go back to the post, delete the picture and paste the new Imgur link. It sounds a lot more complicated than it is.
