Hey Everyone - I know many of you saw Carrie Beasley post up the other day on Facebook about the forest fires going on up near the Charlottesville area. They have been going on for sometime now and the men and women fighting the fires could use some help from the community. Below is note from the command center.
They have 275-300 firefighters from all over the country currently housed in their dept that are fighting the forest fire. They are in need of individual wrapped items:
Moist towelettes
Paper towels
Sandwich size ziplock baggies
Single serve potato chips
Granola bars
Raisins
Peanut butter (single cups)
Slim jims
We are going to have two drop off locations - one in Richmond (Me) and one in Charlottesville with Carrie.
Richmond - you can contact me here or by phone to let me know you are coming and to get my address (508-904-3477)
Charlottesville - you can reach Carrie here or by email (gonmud@gmail.com)
If you are unable to drop anything off but still want to help out - Kyle Brock has set up a Donation page on the website if you would like PayPal money over. Carrie will use the funds to pick up more items before we drop the items off at the command center.
This is a great opportunity for us to help out those protecting and serving us and also to show everyone that off-road clubs are here to help as well.
Thanks everyone!
