What Memorial Day is

Never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day. I work for a company comprised almost entirely of former military members, myself included, and today, as we wound down for the long weekend, all I heard was excitement for a long weekend and travel plans etc. Now, I agree with that, I am going to enjoy my weekend as well, I just wanted to put this out there so that we all remembered why exactly we have this long weekend. As this weekend goes by, remember who made it possible, remember all the men and women that died for our freedom. We can never repay that debt, however we can honor their memory and we can also remember all the men and women over seas right now that are fighting to protect the freedom we enjoy.

Thanks to everyone who has, will be, or is currently serving in a branch of the armed forces!!!
Awhile back I visited the arlington cemetery and the tomb of the unknown soldiers. Words can't really describe the feeling you get, its just something you'll have to experience for yourself.

Haha, its alright. I was supposed to come into work this morning at 6:45 to drive down to Dyersberg, TN (3 hours from here) to unload two trucks of furniture. At least you're probably indoors. :lolz:

Just a reminder as well; Memorial Day is not for people in uniform. It is to remember those who died in uniform.
