Hey Gang,
Started researching replacing the cracked exhaust manifolds. I knew at least one was cracked, so I found a set of slightly used ebay headers about two years ago, with O2s attached. After reading about how much of a pain in the a$$ it was to replace, they stayed on the shelf.
Well, two years on, Sally now sounds like a farm truck semi jake-breaking in a field, so it's time to actually do the thing.
That said, I keep hearing long tube and short tube. Long tube eliminates the first two cats, but short tubes retain the first two cats. Is that correct? Which tubes do I have? Pic below.
If long tube, and I eliminate those first two cats, will this still pass emissions (in CT)? And do I have to get those CEL eliminator thingies as well? I thought I had only two cats, but I guess there's four. Sally has a 3" SL, but no BL, if that matters.
So, can anyone ID what I've got here? Supposedly they were mounted and run on an X, but the X was totalled soon after.
Cheers
