Sup.
i have a few updates as far as future mods that I'd like to make public now.
#1- full Cooling system over haul.
what this means is that i will be installing the famed S/C Rad, new hoses, coolant flush, an external tranny cooler, and electric fan.
now, i understand this has been done to many Xterras before me...... HOWEVER, the electric fan will act as a back up for city driving and the possibility that the engine gets a little hot on the trail (Moab
). how it will work is that it will have all the thermostat to turn on and off, but it will have a master on off switch in the dash. why? cuz imma keep the prop fan suckas! now before you all get up and arms on why im keeping it when i have the electric fan and what have you, i have my reasons. its a back up if the E-fan burns out. all my trucks at work have this set up and it works great, the E-Fan pushes in more air that the prop fan can pull in so i wont have to worry about burning it out that way. and just a reminder, that fan will only be running when i flick the switch on if it gets hot from driving in the city (witch is rare) along with heating up in heavy local traffic on a hot day, and on the trail if it needs it.
to add to this, do to the arctic temps that have pummeled the midwest the past month, today i noticed the one of the factory tranny lines is weeping a little bit. another reason why i need to get rolling on this project.

moving on...
#2 Alternator relocation... ya thats right, RELOCATION!!!
the current prototype that me and my group of mad scientists have come up with is to sh#t can the AC compressor since i dont use AC and stick the Alt there. witch is about the same level as the air box, with that a bracket will need to be made for the Alt to take the compressors place (i got people for this), witch as of now is the hardest part. keep in mind, this is a prototype idea but no matter where, the damn thing aint gonna drag on the road no more!
#3 tire carrier, the same mad scientist who is making the bracket for the alt relocation will make me one, but that is further down the road.
thats all for now, thanks for stopping by!
