Man Casey, your rig has come a long way since I've followed it on Here and IG.

Kudo's for all the hardwork. I hope mine will get to this level one day.

Beaver dam dude, that looks sweet. You need some new headlights (retrofit HIDs would be sweet) and the front of you truck will be out of mods..

Can't wait to see this beast again sometime.

Very much awesome on the mounting and add-ons. Normally, I'm not one for yellow, but you pull it off nicely.

Thank you very much!

Thank you! Haha the retrofit HIDs are the plan but I just can't drop the 300 bucks right now. Especially having to replace the Hellas on the bumper. I'm thinking I'm gonna go piece by piece and pickup the clear headlight housings soon and then save up for the other things, that way it kinda divides up the payments..

Looks great! And now I have something else to add to the list (it's not like I've had an original idea yet...lol).

Thank you! And hey.. Most of my mods are ideas from other people or at least inspiration to kickstart my imagination. That's what it's about.. Taking the things you like from each rig (it doesn't even have to be an Xterra) and applying that to yours to make it your own.

Hit a hitch with the winch wiring the other day... While wiring it up for the in-cab, we broke a post on the back of the remote plug.. We got one on order and it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday then we can resume work!

We are running two wires off of each post on the back of the plug and the posts are not too sturdy.. Haha. It just broke right off clean with the rest of the plug.

The plug came in today! Got the wiring inside the box done. The three wires going out of the picture to the right go to the solenoid and the other three wires that are cut off are going inside the cab with the help of a drop cord haha. Here's the picture and the plug is the original one we broke. It's all good now and we should work on it some tomorrow!

The winch is completely wired for both in-cab and remote control operations ;) haha. It wasn't too bad of a task.. Should get the line put on it tomorrow. If anybody has any questions about the install just let me know! Here's some picturs.. Not much but it works :)

In a nutshell...

The wires going to the right were the ones that came with it.. The ones that are cut off is ones that I added. Once I did all those connections, I used a drop cord (3 wires inside the cord) with the ends cut and I ran that to where I would mount the switches and just connect it from there. Honestly, not too bad. That was kinda general but if you want me to expound upon it some more I will!

I should have some cool pictures tonight. Me and some buds are going to where the real snow is and mess around. Hopefully I'll be able to snap some pictures so stay tuned! ;)

Did you fix the winch?

I tried but there was nothing I could do :(

I called Smittybilt and they're sending a part or some parts that should fix it.. I'll have to take the bumper back off to get to it. Hopefully I can rig it up where I won't have to take off any of the wiring.

Little snow messing around. We ended up just staying in town and messing around. There *wasn't a whole lot of snow but it was real icy so it was fun!

Little update... The part came to fix the winch! However, it's not exactly what I thought it was going to be. They actually sent the whole gear assembly, not just the knob. I looked it up, and that's over a 200 dollar value!

Also, I picked up this Medi-kit to carry around. It's over 300 pieces and I plan on adding some to it to make it complete. For only 20 bucks I was happy..it's a sweet case in it's self haha

And finally, I sold the 10" JL Audio sub for 120 bucks that I bought for just 75 at a pawn shop. So with the extra money there, I'm gonna buy some idler arm bushings and tie rod ends. Hopefully that'll clean up some slop under there and get the X back in wheeling mode!

At least one of us is making some progress! I'm still waiting on tax returns and a few small other things before I fund my next stage.

2nd rack off is better. Now to get a rear tire carrier so you can keep the spare off the top.

Durp, I saw this on FB and only your after Pic. I thought you were referring t the stock rack. Haha. As for the Yakima, if you're not using, keep it off. If you need it, you have it. Might give you a mpg or two back, too. lol
