Josh gave me a snorkel... the ducting to the air cleaner box is always jacked up. This is an attempt to open up the connection between the two.

The little hole is for the air temp sensor...

I love this guy. "meh, I just had some extra steel laying around. So I made these COMPLETELY BADASS SLIDERS!" and it just happened to have some nice punched out holes. Those anti-slip holes could be used to de-bark trees!!!

Wish I had random steel lying around that happened to be what I needed to make something useful.

This is funny as hell. Since everyone is so impressed with the rusty steel you have laying around on the side of your house,I wonder what they would think if they saw what's laying around on the other side of your house
.
.
And the back of the house
.
.
And the shed
.
.
And the garage
.
.
And the front of the house
.
.
And in someone else's barn

I know this thread is about the X but I have to ask what is the setup on the 1st gen pathfinder beside the X on the first page? Did you build that one too? The reason I ask is my first vehicle when I turned 16 was a 88 pathfinder.

I call this rig the Paterfamilias. It is the rig the Nissan entered our market with. For me it has been the test bed for many designs that are seen on many of the builds I have been involved with. It is on front build #3 and rear build #2. There are two engines in the garage that may end up in it.... Who knows.

Here it sets with the wheel wells cut out to fit 35's. The two doors are good for this being there is no rear door to worry about.

It sets low enough that I can look over the top on 35's. I am on my tippy toes at 5'9.. but yes I can look directly over the top.

The Front will get rebuilt again to match my Xterra setup with a two inch narrower axle. So there is really not much to show for now. It has a HP Dana 44 narrowed to 61 wide.

The rear of these rigs came with a 4 link from factory.. funny how this 87 had more options available than the current Xterra.

However.. the rear arms got lengthened and tucked under as much as possible. The rear axle is from a 96 Rodeo. The truss is mine.

First bumper... then there was a second... next there will be a third that works somewhat like the Xterra setup.

These rigs do not have frame horns like the Xterra does.. so there will be some differences.
