So this happened today. I slowed down due to the cars in front of me slowing down. and all of a sudden the wonderful sound of tires being locked up and me being rear ended. I guess she tried to switch lanes to avoid me and made contact with the passenger side rear tire. Turned me sideways and scrapped all the way down to the front tire where I also have paint.


Still investigating what all is damaged. But the list so far is Body panels scrapped up and slightly dented. Both rear tires are wobbling and the rear diff is making some wonderful sounds.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on making sure they pay for aftermarket parts and labor.

Be sure you have all of your receipts for the mods and parts that were damaged. Also make sure that your insurance will cover them. Because if they will, they have ground to stand on to get the other persons insurance to pay up.

All this week I been meaning to call my insurance to see if they cover them and then this. So we will see. The thing is you can't just replace the rear axle with stock. Since it would not be drive able since the front is switched out too.

I had that issue, I went to the repair place they said to, the guy looked under at where the car slammed into, got back up, and said "I can't write this, there's no stock parts"



If its their ins though, you should be fine...different rules for them than if you were at fault. (See my reply at other thread with this...)

Yeah that is my biggest concern. Rear axle by the dealer. Can they do gears then? There is only one place that I trust doing gears around here and it is not on anyone's list.

I wounder what they are going to say about the sliders. Besides that everything else can be bought and installed.

Damn that sucks! If its their insurance you shouldn't have any problems though. Show receipts for everything and fight them for everything, lawyer up if you need to.

Dealerships can and will do gears, even better, if they don't do it right, they're responsible for fixing it

I know some of them will do them but I was not sure until I read the reviews lets just say that a lot of people from houston come down to this dealer for there 360z & 370z issues. So I was happy.

I got this in today. You might be like that is really small for a winch. But I am going to use it for a vice!! Field repair 101 be able to hold the part still to fix it.

It was the cheapest quality mount of any type I could find, which was a winch mount that I will modify for a bench vise.
