Hi folks,

Great forum. Seems like a good place.

Just bought a 2012 Pro-4x. I'm new to this model but not to 4x4's or even Nissans. I had a '95 first gen Pathfinder which I sort of consider to be the ancestor of the X (that new Pathfinder CUV thing... yuck) Anyways, my old Pathy was hands down the most reliable vehicle I ever owned so I'm very confident in this new purchase. Also my wife has a Versa and it's been a very good car as well.

In addition to this new X, I've got a '69 Toyota FJ40 and an '89 Isuzu Trooper RS. I do all the work on those myself.

So, looking forward to learning a lot and getting to know other owners of these cool vehicles.

Greetings from Hell, where its frozen over (aka Dallas, tx). We're a friendly bunch and don't usually bite. Hard.

And we're all agreed on the G4 Pathy. It has a place, but not as a Pathy.

Thanks.

So how many of us are in the neighborhood? I've definitely seen a few tricked out X's (1st and 2nd gens) in the area. Do folks get together?

What part of Nashville are you in? I'm usually all over Nash, but reside in the Hermitage area. I drive a Frontier though, so.... there's that.

We do... In the summer I try and gather everyone at the Friday night car show at the ave mall in Murfreesboro.. We try to hit local off road parks too

Word. I'm in Hermitage too.

Awesome! post a pic of your X. It's possible you are one of the ones I've seen driving around in the area. I'm jealous of all the modded Xs I see in the area, and very few Frontiers. Since you're in hermitage, I can get a little more specific. I actually live in Lakewood (or what used to be Lakewood R.I.P) . Wave if you see me. Blacked out pro4-x fronty with a roof basket. Kinda hard to miss.

I'll add a pic to this thread shortly. Mine is a 2012 Super Black Pro-4x. It's bone stock except for a set of shrockworks sliders so not that impressive really. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for you.

Nice man. I love land cruisers. 80 series is my favorite besides the blocky looking one that looks almost like a patrol (don't know the series).

Glad to see you joined. I'm from Lexington KY

The one we have is blocky like a patrol, well early patrol (which we had one if those too).

I work in Nashville, but unless you sit on 24 between 4-5pm, you've probably never seen my truck...

Regardless, it's this sexy beast..

Hey Jay, I spotted you. I saw you cruising westward down Lebanon Pike at about 11am this past Saturday. Good looking truck! You wouldn't have noticed us though. We were in my wife's car at the time.

Hey welcome to the Nation. I am in the Franklin-Brentwood area. I am easy to spot... only red Gen 2 with a tire strapped on top. Looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll keep an eye out for you. So, do you have the tire strapped to the stock cross bars or do you have some kind of basket or something?

Awesome! I've been looking for you, but no sightings yet.

And I still can't decide if I'm going to put the spare in the basket, or in the bed somewhere. I've always liked the spare on top look, but hesitate because of the added weight up top.

My vote is to put it in the bed. Having mine on the roof is a PITA.

What makes it such a pita? Is it the higher cog, or clearances? I have an idea for a bed mount, but it would take some steel tubing, and a welder.

I have a 35" up on the roof. It's just not the lightest spare part to be storing way up there. It also can be come a clearance problem if you recall.
