Who has CCP and willing to tell about it?

I'm conflicted on getting a pistol. I am comfortable with guns, but just haven't been around pistols enough. I'm intrigued by them though. I've heard there is a local place that lets you shoot around with all kinds of guns for a flat rate of like $40 so I may have to go try that to get more comfortable. My brother in law has his concealed carry yet he still wears his on his hip. Does CC work for keeping it stashed in your vehicle too?
^^^^ IN most instances yes, And keeping a loaded gun in your car with out the permit is illegal in most states if not all.
I would do like you said and shoot a few different guns and see what you like and are comfortable with. I'm a big guy and I had to find a gun that wasn't to small for my hand. The plus side to being plus sized is I can conceal a large gun inside a baggy shirt.
But this is not the route for everyone everyone and every gun is different.
And I think every responsible adult should own a gun for self protection.

Like I know I my TN permit is good from home to Florida and that I can carry in restaurants in FL as long as I don't drink alcohol.

I've got a handful of guns, mainly a couple shotguns, a couple .22's, a 3030, and a 300 Savage. I have lots of .22 bullets and a couple dozen shotgun shells but not much else.

Always wanted one. Mainly for the truck, don't need one on my person every day. RI is a pita to get one though. Hoop jumping is ridiculous around here. Looking at a G17 for next year.

I have the wonderful CCP. I've had it for eleven years now. My usual carry pistol is a .45 Glock model 30 subcompact. I also have a Ruger P90, a Ruger Single Six with interchangeable .22LR and .22 magnum cylinders, a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum stainless, a Chinasport SKS with a 22 inch barrel, bipod, scope, bayonet and ATI Monte Carlo stock, and a 1937 K98 Mauser with all matching numbers.

^^^ Cool a .357, I've wanted to shoot a .357 for a little over a year now.
It's fun to shoot. It's fairly heavy and most of the recoil drives it back instead of flipping up. It honestly feels like there's very little at all so it was a little shocking the first time I saw my brother shoot it and how much it drove his arms and shoulders back. If there are any rides we're both going on where there's a place to shoot remind me and I'll bring it so you can try it out.

We've been lagging on getting CCP's - and in restocking the arsenal since we liquidated and moved out to GA. This thread's a good reminder to get back at it!

Tom I have my CCP, but am somewhat limited on carrying since I'm on campus 5days aw week, but i own a XD40 subcompact and love it. After riding with Matt over to the plant at nXm and seeing his montage of weapons in his X, after i graduate this December I plan on rigging up a holster like he had for his pistol on his center console.

Currently carry a S&W Sigma .40, but I've had it on the market for a month because I want to down size to a 9mm. I used to carry it EVERYWHERE, but I go to a lot of secure facilities now with the new job and I can't carry it like I used to.

As previously mentioned, I carry a Smith & Wesson Sigma .40 (SW40VE)
This is for when I know I'm going to be in a crowd..little more retention, but not necessarily a Level III. FOBUS.
This is the holster I carry when I travel or I know I'm going to be in and out of the truck all day. The Fobus holster is uncomfortable after a while.

Here in MS it is perfectly legal to carry a loaded weapon of any kind in your vehicle without a concealed weapon permit. Not illegal in all states. . .yet.
