I forsee the schedule being:

Friday: Get there, setup, do a night run for those that make it (probably start around 7PM, get back by 10PM).

Saturday: Start trails at 9AM, get back to campground around 12-1PM for lunch (at which time, I will be dropping of the family for them to go hiking, etc), then back out to run the trails a different way AND finish up the trails we didn't hit the first time around. Then 5PM, we do a group'ish dinner.

Sunday: Everyone will part ways (we will probably be leaving around 8-9AM to try and get home by 10AM so we can get cleaned up and such)

This sounds good to me. I just suggested trail camping because that's what I had done before. I'm fine with the campground. If a couple of people will show up Friday then I will too.

It looks like at least 3 rigs will be there Friday, and I'll be up there early to put up some tents. Pretty sure this is going to be awesome!

Ok guys I might be in. The NOAS Crew was already planning an URE run in November so may see you there that weekend wiht a few of our trucks. Arrowhead is a great Campground and just as a heads up. IF you talk to the campground manager Janet, she can hook you up with a free trail pass for every day if you agree to pick up any trash you see. You just sign in in the morning and then spend the day wheeling and as you see trash you pick it up. Then at the end of the day you dump the trash in her dumpster and you record the hours you were on the trail. For every hour of every person worked the forest service gives URE like 16 dollars to help with improvments and keeping the system open. So you dont have to participate but its something we try and help wiht when ever my group goes and its a really easy thing to do since you already will be wheeling and I would assume pick up trash you see.

I will not be able to wheel on Sunday, most likely, as we will be trying to get back in time for church which starts at 11AM.

I didn't know about the free trail pass thing! I will be looking out for her next time I'm out there! BUT, I did not see when the URE trip was scheduled with NOAS...I'll throw this up on the FB group.

I'm thinking I may head over right after class on Friday, stay Friday night, wheel all day Saturday, hang out, then head out that night.

Yeah, this doesn't work for us. There is going to a LARGE amount of people, and most will be there Saturday night. I am going to commit to a Sunday run as well, so we will not be leaving early on Sunday, but will take our time.

My plan was to leave late Saturday. Like 10 or 11. I'd like to get home in time for church and to leave Sunday would have to be around 7 and I can't do that haha I like driving at night anyway

I would like to be back for church as well, but fellowshiping with your Xterra family is still important. We can do scripture study in the morning.

I'm actually thinking about coming to this but I've got a couple questions. Never been there before so would it be a total buzzkill to have a 2wd trying their trails? I don't wanna hold anybody back.

If we get into a place where you don't/can't do something, I'm sure we can drag you up or you can side seat with someone. But there would be no buzzkill at all. You are more than welcome, truly.

Excellent! Thanks! I definitely don't mind having to be pulled. I just haven't had to be yet but I'm pretty sure my fragile ego can handle it..haha.

After your impressive display at nXm last year, I highly doubt you would be able to hold anyone up if you tried. We would be glad to have you.

Hey guys, NOAS is also going to join us for this weekend. It looks like we have about 8 rigs going already, with NOAS there will be another 5 - 15 rigs. We may break this up into two groups of it gets that large, AND I'll see if we can get into the new Big Creek trails that are privately owned.

Hey man, I made it up some trails in my 2wd with quote/unquote minivan tires. I'll be back with 32" MT's so I should do even better!

Is it OK with everyone if I bring a jeep buddy and a taco buddy? Or would that be sacrilege?

So the date is officially what? I need to make some plans. Hopefully I wont be on call with the hospital (which would stop everything it's tracks for me lol). Where in NC is this going to be??

Hopefully if its the weekend of the 22nd, I can be there, assuming I manage to get my truck back on the road again before then. I think thats the same weekend as the NOAS fall run, so I may run over and see those guys some while I'm there.

They will camp at the art lilly parking lot. There is an outhouse (mens and womens) at the bottom of the hill, but its all primitive camping around the edge of the parking lot. Hopefully I can get out there. I need to make at least one run this year.
