I had a teacher who taught us incorrect information all the damn time. He'd hand out detentions if you called him on it. 90% of my classmates took his word as that of gobble.
I expect teachers to talk sh*t about students though, it's general human nature. Not saying it's right

I knew about the codeacademy but I didn't know about the other; thank you for the link.
It's really creepy and coincidental that you shared this bit of info with me today. I was actually conversing with an old friend and was talking to him about my plans for school/professional development, and he sent me links for the codeacademy and codeschool. I decided that, in order to be proactive and productive, I should really dive into those sites and soak up everything that I can.
It'll be fun to have a sense of purpose and something meaningful to do during my mostly boring and uneventful day at work

I'm going to school for computer programming and subsequently hope to get a job in the field and go from there. My grandiose long-term goal is computer engineering and designing hardware for a major company, but regardless of that, it'd be a very wise choice all around for me to go for computer programming and build up my skills from there
