Curious Traveler Shandy. I'm generally not a big fan of Shandies, but this is delicious, it's everything I want in a beer to enjoy on a hot summer day. Bring on the high temps!

Try the Leinenkugel Orange Shandy. I had it recently, along with their Summer Shandy and Lemon Berry Shandy. Summer and Lemon Berry are welcome and refreshing after working or working out in the heat, but neither is as legitimately tasty as the Orange Shandy.

I'm going to try the Curious Traveler Shandy and the Leinenkugel Canoe Paddler soon.

I had these two Friday evening after work (stock photos; I was too busy living life to stop and take pictures):

Old Engine Oil Porter: Very smokey. Really nice finish. One of the best porters I've had in recent memory.

Green Flash Rayon Vert Belgian Ale: I tried this after a discussion on Green Flash's other beers led the barkeep to tell me I wouldn't like it. Challenge accepted. It actually turned out to be one of my favorite Green Flash brews, 2nd only to Palate Wrecker. It's very curious that it pours clear and then clouds up as it warms. Still quite tasty.

What am I drinking? Too many gin and tonics for a Sunday night, that's what.

J, I really enjoy the Canoe Paddler. One of the other Leinenkugel shandies I thought was pretty gross, the Lemon I think. Summer Shandy IIRC was good. Never had the berry one.

Edit: Oh, and anything I've had by Green Flash was great. Solid brewery.

I had a few local brews in Denver last week. Mostly wheat beers but I did have a red ale at the chophouse that was pretty good. I had a honey wheat at the view house that I cannot remember the full name, something with bee in it. I tried a boulevard Tuesday and liked it, it's a little lighter than Blue Moon.

Last night I tried Stone's Crime:

It, and its evil twin Punishment, can only be described as horrendous. It is indeed a crime to foist this on the beer drinking public, and Punishment only serves to punish you for making the bad choice of drinking Crime in the first place. Avoid them at all costs.

If I truly had to describe it...you know that burning in the pit of your stomach from really, really terrible heartburn or acid reflux? Crime is that sensation, bottled for your agony.

Tried some new ones from Magic Hat last night. Wilhelm Scream, a pumpkin ale, which was pretty good. Very pumpkin-y. I forget the name of the IPA but it's a new one of theirs, and it was very good, very strong & hoppy.

You keed..... But it's actually not bad for a light beer. I'm going for the full flavored tonight.

/nice slashie use

I prefer the "full flavor", or "regular", but there is certainly nothing wrong with the Light. However, when I came home from work today I noticed that there was a lone can of Yuengling Light in my fridge. I don't know where it came from, though I have a guess. It didn't take long to come to the conclusion that it should be consumed.

/thank you, Master Slashie
