Can't say that I've ever heard that before. I will enjoy an ice cold PBR occasionally, but I only get it when it is extremely cheap and I'm feeling rebellious. Seems like a lot of hipsters drink it around here now. Odd choice for a hipster beer, but to each his own...

Saturday, our local Bayou Beer Society celebrated their first birthday, and bought everyone who came out to celebrate their first beer at our craft beer bar. It was a one-off keg by Chafunkta Brewery called Chafunky Munky, which was a mocha coffee porter with hints of coconut and vanilla. Let's just say I'm really bummed that they only brewed one keg of it. Soooo good.

That Chafunky Munky sounds really good. I just haven't found a porter I like. I like all those flavors but just not in a beer. Any recommendations on some that are more readily available that I should try to change my mind?

Girlfriend's mom lives 10min from the distillery. I learned a lot about the different types and flavors of JD. The day we did the taste tour, they had Single Barrel, Original No 7, and Gentleman Jack.
I'm not a big whiskey drinker, but I'll drink some Gentleman Jack for sure. I'd love to get a bottle of Tennessee Honey, too.
