totally didn't even notice that....the pics of Kelly's X undermud gave it away for me....I recall seeing a ton of pics from that trip...can't remember whose X it was that had the step on the driver's side ripped off by a tree root...but, I thought that it was in the same hole Kelly was stuck in, in those pics...

There were lots of pics of rigs in that hole from a variety of Jeep Skool events. All of which I enjoy looking at. :)

Frsrsly - PM if you do. I'm only about 2 hours south of there and we've got a few different owners here in the area. If we've got folks coming in from across the country (and the sovereign nation of Texas) I'm sure we could scare up a few attendees.

That spot on that trail is a deathtrap for Xterras lol

Hell yes it is. Ryan, Crashdan, me, etc. Hell, we almost managed to break Blain's gastank once.

Glad we can help amuse you.

Crashdan. We avoided the root the second time, but that generally involved straps and a very mean rock.

That's her. I didn't quite catch her name.

I do remember hearing a bizarre conversation about her having double-piercings (crossed, I believe she called them).

ooh....crossed piercings....very fun ;) I mean uhh....artistic ;)

and if you're in that neighborhood, I'll let you know if I go up that way for a trip....may see if we can't get it thought up far enough out that we can try to get a good turnout from the xterra crowd....

We probably can. There's the Jersey crowd that comes over for bigger events, a Chicago crowd that does the same, and then those of us from Ohio (with a few new folks that I've not wheeled with yet). With proper planning it could happen.

Instead of that, I'll be in Moab again.

At least I think the dates overlap. Either way, there's about zippy chance of me making it to that event. The best chance of me bothering to see a live act would be when the Irish come to town for a our local Irish Festival.

Or Iron Maiden. Would definitely go to see them again.

Back on task, though - maybe another fall run for something near Ohio? That way goneMoab and ECXC are out of the way.

Works for me. Was going to have a "non-Moab" trip to Badlands planned for this year. And I am usually game for any trip as long as I haz the moniez :)

Kel - shocker that they made you coordinator. If you remember, PM when these things get started so I can keep a watch on the threads. I keep finding out about them about 4 days before they happen and can't make them.

It's cuz I like pretty colors and excel spreadsheets lol ...Maybe if you were more observant you'd see said events in time ;) gosh

Being observant helps, but workload really hurts. About two years ago I had plenty of time. Then I took a promotion opportunity and I've been busy as hell. Mo' money and all, but much less time. Nothing like a general meeting load of 5-8 hours, a few overlapping, and being responsible for the budget now.

Thank you :)

Unfortunately no trails yet. Been busy, but I'll be going to Badlands in Indiana this October. Maybe I can make it out to the Cliffs in Illinois before then. Can't wait to see how it handles.

The Ford is stronger, pretty much the width I wanted, and we happened to find one for cheap. So it all worked out. :) My brother has an old Crown Vic and I always joke with him that I'm going to use his car for parts hehe
Originally I was saving up for a front solid axle but I didn't want the X to ride like a Jeep, so upgrading what was already there seemed like a good idea.

I love my new tires. Idk what I was thinking when I listened to some people about getting Treadwrights. These Kevlars are worth the cash; they grip offroad and still have the all-terrain strip down the center that makes it bearable to drive on road.

Gotta thank Neil for the bumper. We bought it off him when he parted and sold his Midnight Blue :(

I probably won't be able to get onto the trails until early October, so I can't wait to see how it handles. Pics for sure will be up when I do take it out next.

Next stuff in store would probably be beadlocks, selectable locker, and molle setup in the cargo for all my shtuff. I'm getting tired of that clunky tool bin.
