If you dont mind me asking why bother doing all that work to a 8.8? I know most guys swap them in jeeps because its a simple swap and the bolt pattern matches the jeep 5x4.5. With all the work you have done you couldve snagged a Ford 9"(already semifloat) discd and gear swapped for under $500.

^Ditto. Now I'm truly inspired. All this time my Off Road Club buddies (95% Jeeps) have been spouting how amazing the 8.8 is, and now I can show them it will fit an X! YAY! Thanks for sharing and doing something this awesome. I just may have to follow suit....when I have funds for it, ahaha.

Now that's a good use of an 8.8! I'm a big fan of that axle. To see that one made it under an X is just too cool. I would like to see a DIY / axle build thread for that.

The stance is definitely something I like because it's not too tall. I don't wheel as much as I used to but I'll probably continue to pay $$ for these tires cuz I love them so much.

Thank you! It wouldn't be where it is today without the help of friends and family for the build. I met up with a group of guys from the Midwest Chapter of NAXJA, so I got to wheel with a few XJs. The guys are cool to chill with and the Jeeps are awesome.
Future additions to my Xterra will probably be changing up the interior for better storage and organization.

Kelly, this thing is a beast. I would love to see this wheel in person, if you won't come south to wheel I guess at some point I will have to make the trek north and wheel with the GLX crew (You guys look like some fun to wheel with)

Man I gotta catch up to all the events planned i guess cuz I had no idea about the ladies only one. Although having guys on the trail is nice for amusement
I'll throw my 2 cents into some of what's been said above too....
The beefier look of the 2nd Gens is cool in general, but I would prefer to chop up a 1st Gen and make it a fun little trail rig cuz of its smaller design. Oh and cant beat 2nd Gen power either
I thought about bringing the Xterra down to Texas when I made the week long trip but that would have been pricey! Oh well... There will be more free time at some point to make trips like I used to (PA, TN, OH, etc)
